Ian Cockburn was born in England, spent formative years in Trinidad, university educated in New York and Louisiana.

His real estate career started harvesting cocoa and coffee at his fathers cocoa and coffee estate where he learnt the values of hard work, and making the best use of the land.

Fast forward years later he graduated from Louisiana State University in Construction Management. Working his way through college, he designed and managed landscaping projects, worked as a carpenter in Washington DC, worked under one John Desmond, one of the most influential architects who emerged from the south in the 20th Century. Three principles were ingrained from his mentor, Mr Desmond:

1) Integrity - always do the right thing, no matter what anyone else says or does.

2) Believe in yourself - never doubt your abilities.

3) Work as if it matters. Always complete the task at hand the right way. When in doubt, see #1.

Upon graduating from University, Ian worked in Commercial, Heavy and Chemical Industries as an estimator, engineer, project manager and coach. Once he started buying, renovating and selling homes, then businesses he laid the foundation for the GoFindHome mobile application.

The GoFindHome mobile application includes a Resource Guide that takes the essence of life long learning and applies the tools and techniques into an application. This mobile application is part of a greater ecosystem of training and marketing for Real Estate professionals.

Ian Cockburn is a Father first, long distance marathoner of over 18 marathons, mountain trekker from the Andes to the Himalayas and avid explorer to depths unknown. From the jungles of the Amazon, to remote regions in Nepal or the Sahara, Ian brings the human experience into the process of what is taught about our approach to relationships with each other, and the land set forth in front of us.
